Our Greenshell Mussels are harvested from New Zealand and are flash frozen to preserve taste and texture.

Mussels provide a sweet taste, and a plump, meaty texture. Plus, they are high in protein and iron.
- Each order is packed with dry ice so that it stays completely frozen while en route to your doorstep.
How To Prepare

To thaw, remove the mussels from the original packaging, place them in a plastic bag or on a covered tray, and thaw them in the refrigerator for 5-8 hours.

To expedite the thawing process, place the mussels in a plastic bag and run them under cool water (never hot water.) Learn more safe thawing tips here.

Once thawed, heat the mussels using your desired method and until warmed.

Greenshell Mussels are New Zealands most iconic seafood and are rated as one of the most sustainable seafood products in the world. They grow on longline technology for 26-48 months before harvest depending on growing area.
When they are harvested, mussels are surrounded by two shells. During processing the top shell is removed leaving only the bottom shell, which the mussel itself is attached to. This makes for easy preparation and beautiful presentation.
All of our products will stay good in the freezer for several months. However, for the best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying them within 2-3 months.
